From Dreams to Reality: Empowering Kenyan Youth Through Basketball

Basketball is more than just a game—it’s a life-changing journey. Meet Oliver Nyawanda and the Urbanville Basketball family, a Community-Based Organisation (CBO) transforming lives in Kisumu, Kenya. For over 12 years, Urbanville has been a beacon of hope, providing young people with opportunities to grow through basketball, mentorship, and character-building. From securing scholarships to representing Kenya in national teams, Urbanville has nurtured countless success stories. But the journey hasn’t been without challenges. Lack of funding, equipment, and facilities remains a significant hurdle. Urbanville dreams of creating a Sports Hub—an integrated community space that combines sports, mentorship, and economic empowerment. Join us in supporting their mission: 🏀 Donate to provide basketballs, shoes, and attire for young athletes. 🏀 Partner with us to build courts and expand programs. 🏀 Share this story to inspire others to give back. Let’s keep the legacy alive for generations to come.
