Interview with Dr Mokua: NGLP Partners meeting

The Brothers of St Charles Lwanga, Uganda’s first indigenous Catholic order, have long been dedicated to education and caring for vulnerable youth, especially those orphaned by HIV/AIDS and poverty. Through the support of the Next Generation Leadership Programme (NGLP), the Brothers have experienced a profound transformation. NGLP has provided scholarships and leadership training, enabling many Brothers to pursue higher education and develop professional skills in fields such as teaching, accounting, and social work. This investment has not only strengthened the individual Brothers’ capabilities but also enhanced the congregation’s ability to serve their communities with compassion, expertise, and integrity. The program’s holistic approach-including spiritual, managerial, and child protection training-has empowered the Brothers to become more effective leaders and role models, ensuring that their legacy of service and faith continues to inspire and uplift new generations across East Africa.
